Fencing Lessons: Introduction to the Olympic sport of Sabre Fencing

Sunday, February 4, 2018 at 11:00 AM: Channel your inner Luke Skywalker or Princess Leia and join us to learn the Olympic sport of Sabre Fencing with an amazing workout! Follow your swashbuckling dreams and join us for an exciting lesson on swordsmanship and chivalry. The lesson will cover the basics of fencing in a relaxed and fun setting. All the equipment needed will be provided and prior fencing experience is not needed to sign up. Through a combination  of drills and exercises, you will learn the fundamentals of footwork, bladework, and tactical actions and put it all together with some practice bouting. After the lesson, you will be able to practice your newly learned fencing skills with other ICDC members. Reserve your tickets now.

ICDC Members enjoyed a candlelit evening on the eve of Santa Lucia at the Swedish Embassy, in the heart of Georgetown. A unique and unforgettable gala of Swedish holiday traditions, music, and dance was enjoyed by all.

We enjoyed a very special and rare opportunity to experience A Holiday Gala in Kyiv at the Embassy of Ukraine. The evening featured a dinner buffet feast of traditional Ukrainian delicacies along with dancing to a Ukrainian Band performing waltzes and other dance music in the elegant and historic ballroom of the embassy.
