Event Description

Dance the night away at the Georgetown Dumbarton House Museum and Gardens as you immerse yourself in the elegance of a bygone era with an enchanting evening of dancing to a live band after swing dance lessons. Dress up in your favorite vintage-inspired attire and step back in time to meet other International Club of DC members and make new friends! 

As the sun sets over Georgetown, the historic grounds will come alive with the smooth, classic tunes reminiscent of the legendary Frank Sinatra as you enjoy an evening of music and dancing in the ballroom of one of the most magnificent historic mansions in Georgetown.

As the evening progresses, a live band, inspired by the iconic sounds of Sinatra, will perform for dancing in the ballroom or explore the garden under the stars surrounded by the grandeur of historic Georgetown. Make new friends as you explore the garden of Dumbarton House under the enchanting ambiance of a starlit sky.

Indulge in a delightful journey through time as you appreciate the charm of vintage fashion and the allure of music from the Sinatra era. Space is limited so please make your reservations early. All attendees must be 21 and over.

Attend on Your own or with Friends
A partner or prior dance experience are not needed to attend as the evening begins with a swing dance lesson. Attend on your own or with friends and new members are especially welcome! Step into a scene of timeless elegance as we show you how to swing dance to music from the Sinatra era, even if you've never danced before!

The event presents a wonderful opportunity to meet, network and socialize with other internationally minded professionals in town. If you are new to our organization or Washington DC this is a great opportunity to meet other like-minded professionals in a friendly setting.

Wine and Dessert Available for Purchase
Dessert and wine will be available for purchase, as you mingle with other guests and make new friends.

All online reservations are final. We are unable to issue refunds for tickets purchased due to expenses incurred to present the event. Make your reservations early, as space is limited. Cost of reservations is subject to increase as we approach the date of the event.

Event Agenda (May change)

6:30 PM Admission commences: Enjoy wine and dessert available for purchase as you meet other guests attending the event.

7:00 PM Swing dance lessons prior to dancing to the music of a band performing music inspired by Sinatra. If you purchase a ticket for the dance lessons, please make sure that you arrive by 7:00 PM, as the lessons end around 8:00 PM.

After 8:00 PM Enjoy an evening of networking and socializing as you stroll the beautiful garden of Dumbarton House under the stars or dance to music inspired by Sinatra performed by a live band with dessert and wine available for purchase.

9:00 Optional tours of Dumbarton House conclude with the last tour at 9PM.

10:00 PM Event concludes.
