Event Description

Join us as some of Austria's most prominent winemakers present up to 40 wines for a tasting at the Austrian Embassy. This is a rare opportunity to meet and speak directly with the winemakers while sampling some of the most exiting new wines imported to the USA today. We will pair the wine with Austrian food for an exciting culinary experience. The evening will conclude with tastings of delicious world renowned Austrian Ice-wine! Space is limited.

The International Club of DC with the cooperation of the Austrian Embassy along with KWselections "Fine wines of Austria" and Siema Wines presents a Passport to Austrian wines at the Austrian Embassy in Washington DC. Don't miss this rare and very special opportunity for a tasting of Austrian wines with the actual winemakers from Austria presenting their wines.  Up to 40 exquisitely crafted Austrian wine will be served along with a dinner reception of Austrian cuisine.

We have enclosed below the tentative list of winemakers and the wines to be served. Selections, winemakers and wineries are subject to change. VIP guests will enjoy up to 40 types of wine during the special VIP reception and General Admission guests will enjoy up to 25 types of wine.

Map/Parking

The Embassy is located about 3 blocks from the Van Ness Metro station. Parking for the Austrian Embassy Viennese Ball is limited to street parking in the vicinity of the Austrian Embassy. There will be no parking available at the Austrian Embassy. Due to the limited availability of parking, Uber, a cab or another transportation arrangement is highly recommended.
