PLEASE NOTE: Tickets purchased for the 5PM Session are NOT transferrable towards the 7PM Session as the 7:00 PM Session is full.
Whether you plan to attend our Viennese Ball at Austrian Embassy or would simply like to learn how to dance the Viennese Waltz, as it is danced in Vienna, don't miss this rare opportunity to learn how to dance one of the most elegant and romantic dances of all time. The lessons will be taught on a wooden dance floor at the Austrian Embassy, one of the most magnificent embassies in Washington DC.
During the lessons Austrian wine (served to guests 21+) and other drinks will be available for purchase at the cash bar.
A Native of Austria, Herbert Traxler with his wife Carol Traxler have taught the Viennese waltz to hundreds of enthusiastic dancers in the Washington, DC, area -- at the White House, Smithsonian, and other venues around town. Their Viennese waltz lessons include the Viennese waltz (Linkswalzer, Rechtswalzer, hesitation step), posture, dance etiquette, and the Handkuss (hand kiss), as well as an introduction to the Viennese balls and to the Viennese waltz music of the Strauss dynasty. The Traxlers will be glad to answer your questions about the Viennese waltz as well as the upcoming Viennese Ball.
IMPORTANT: Please Note: Due to overwhelming interest we are pleased to add a second Viennese Waltz session at the Austrian Embassy from 5:00 PM to 6:50 PM. We kindly ask you to reserve your tickets soon as space is very limited for the newly announced 5:00 PM session. Since the 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM session is full, the 5PM session concludes promptly at 6:50 PM so those taking part in the 5:00 PM session can leave the embassy promptly at 6:50 PM in time for guests arriving for the 7:00 PM session.
