Event Description
Each year, in November; a fresh batch of Beaujolais Nouveau wine is released in France, shipped throughout the world and enjoyed by thousands! This special tradition is celebrated each year at the Embassy of France and is a must for party-goers who appreciate French "savoir-vivre."
The Beaujolais and Beyond Celebration is a French cultural "Fete" that will take place in accordance with popular French annual tradition and custom for uncorking the Beaujolais Nouveau wine. "Beaujolais and Beyond" will welcome wine lovers, foodies, Francophiles and party goers to the Maison Francaise, Embassy of France in Georgetown.
We will serve light fare from leading DC restaurants, accompanied by French breads, cheeses, pâtés and pastries. Guests will be treated to free-flowing Beaujolais Nouveau wine. Beer, sparkling wine, and other wines available for purchase at the cash bar. The festivities will include a well-known Washingtonian D.J., dancing, French wine, silent auction and a raffle drawing for round-trip tickets to Paris. Beaujolais and Beyond is a must for lovers of savoir-vivre!

Please Note:
The event is organized as a festival of wine. As such there are many facets to the evening and the evening is planned so that you can mingle and walk inside the embassy to discover and celebrate French culture and cuisine. Kindly note that the event is not organized as a seated function or dinner event but rather as a cocktail reception with light fare.
