Thursday, February 11 ICDC Pre-Valentines Party at the Exclusive L2 Club in Georgetown with Complimentary Glass of Champagne and International Club Music. After our sold-out holiday party at the exclusive L2 Lounge in Georgetown, we return to L2 for a Pre-Valentine's Day party with a complimentary glass of champagne. Friday, February 12 Salsa Vs. Merengue - Dance Soiree and Dance Lessons at K Street Lounge. Start your weekend with a Latin dance soiree where you will learn how to dance the salsa and the merengue! Both singles and couples are welcome to attend. You do not need a partner to attend, as partners will be rotated during the lesson. No prior dance experience is necessary, as we will have you dancing salsa and merengue in no time! Sunday, February 14 National Gallery of Art Valentine's Day Tour-- The Art of Being in Love: Love in Painting and Sculpture. Join us by yourself or bring friends to our first ever Valentine's Day tour of the National Gallery of Art Tour featuring paintings and sculpture which center around on the theme of love: why we fall in love, love between men and women, love of children, devotional love and love of country. Visitors will have the opportunity to examine some of the jewels in the National Gallery of Art from the 15th century through the 19th century which focus on the theme of love. Click here for tickets and information.

VIENNESE WALTZ LESSONS for Vienese Ball: Wednesday, February 17 Viennese Waltz Lessons for Viennese Ball: Learn the Viennese Waltz, as danced in Vienna. Whether you plan to attend our Viennese Ball at the National Museum of Women in the Arts or would simply like to learn how to dance the Viennese Waltz, as it is danced in Vienna, don't miss this rare opportunity to learn how to dance one of the most timeless dances of all time. The lessons will be taught by Herb and Carol Traxler, who are from Austria, on the exquisite marble dance floor of the the grand ballroom of the National Museum of Women in the Arts. Saturday, March 06, 2010. Tour of the US Capitol: Explore the exterior architectural majesty of Union Station, Library of Congress, and the Supreme Court, culminating in a tour of the US Capitol. Join us for a special private tour of the exterior architecture of the eastern end of the National Mall, culminating in the interior of the US Capitol. The tour starts at Union Station, where you will have the chance to enjoy the breathtaking 96-foot coffered ceilings which have made Union Station “one of the finest examples of Beaux-Arts style of architecture.” The tour will continue walking towards the Supreme Court and Library of Congress, as you take in from the outside the architectural wonder of the outer edifice of the buildings of the East National Mall, ending at the Capitol. Our Capitol tour starts with a 15 minute presentation of the history and architecture of this grand monument to democracy. Wednesday, March 10, 2010. Lebanese Taverna Hands-on Cooking class with reception and Dinner with Wine. Please join us for our hands-on cooking class at Lebanese Taverna complete with a brief reception at the beginning and dinner with wine after the lesson. Saturday, March 13, 2010. Guided Garden Tour of Dumbarton Oaks Museum and Hillside Gardens in Georgetown. Join us for a guided tour of Dumbarton Oaks Museum, where you will explore the Byzantine Collection, which ranks among the most significant collections of the World. The collection also includes important works from Western Europe. Afterwards, join us for a guided tour at Dumbarton Oaks Garden (weather permitting), which is magnificent during this time of the year. Wednesday, March 17, 2010. International St. Patrick’s Day Party at The Brickskeller: Celebrate to the Sounds of a Live Irish Band with Beer from Around the World. What are your plans for St. Patrick’s Day? Join us for an international St. Patrick’s celebration at the Brickskeller, DC’s award-winning pub featuring bottles and drafts from around the world. Sample from an unmatched menu boasting over 1000 bottled beers from six different continents. A live Irish band will be performing songs from the Emerald Isle. Dance the night away or just meet new friends in the Brickskeller’s down-home saloon atmosphere. Join your ICDC friends at Hillwood Museum and Gardens to discover and explore one of the most comprehensive collections of eighteenth and nineteenth-century Russian Imperial art outside of Russia, as well as an extensive collection of eighteenth-century French decorative arts. Thursday, March 25, 2010. French Embassy Dance Soiree with French Wine: Learn to dance the Swing and Waltz. Enjoy an evening with us at the Embassy of France while learning how to dance the swing and waltz! As you meet and make new friends taste French wine served at the cash bar. Let us show you how to swing dance, one of the most thrilling dances sure to get your heart racing. Then learn the waltz, one of the most elegant European dances. Lessons will be followed by time to practice what you have learned and meet ICDC members who love to dance. Saturday, March 27, 2010. Private Tour of Kreeger Museum: Discover a Magnificent Collection of 19th and 20th Century Paintings and Sculptures. Join us for a private guided tour of Kreeger Museum's permanent collection of 19th and 20th century paintings and sculptures to discover one of the world's preeminent collections of impressionist art. Highlights of the collection include works by Monet, van Gogh, Picasso, Renoir, Cezanne, Chagall, Rodin, Miro, Moore, Kandinsky, Ardon and Washington artists Gene Davis, Sam Gilliam, William Christenberry and Kendall Buster as well as examples of traditional African and Asian Art. Saturday, April 03, 2010. FREE EVENT - International Cherry Blossom Picnic: Enjoy the Cherry Blossoms with your ICDC friends. Join us for our annual FREE International Cherry Blossom picnic to meet and socialize with other ICDC members. Last year's Cherry Blossom picnic was attended by OVER 300 ICDC members.
